IMP All Things Theater Camp is part of a multifaceted year round theater program where kids ages 6- 18 are given the opportunity to explore theater in a safe, supportive hands-on manner. Held at the Edgartown School Campus, IMP Camp is about choice. Children are given the opportunity to choose their path as they explore all types of theater. They can choose full or half day options, one week or two week sessions, and different types of theater. A theme encompasses the work of each IMP camp session providing a focus for the performances and exercises. It is the mission of IMP ALL THINGS THEATER to expose students not only to the performing side of theater but all aspects of their craft, empowering them to create their own theater projects at IMP Camp and at future performance sites - be it the stage, in your living room, or on Broadway.

ONE WEEK SESSION: During a one week session students explore the theme using different theater games and activities. The schedule allows students the opportunity to work in a full group setting as well as classes broken down by age. The one week session is a low pressure, fun, introduction for students new to theater and an in depth study of the basics for the veterans. All students will advance their skills by the end of the week. The morning and afternoons involve very different activities providing variety for the full day students. The session ends with a share for students and their family and friends Friday on the beach. 

TWO WEEK SESSION: A two week session ends with a completely student created two act show based on the session's theme. The first day offers students a chance to explore several different styles of theater - classical, contemporary, original material, technical and musical. After the exploration, students choose what they would like to focus on for an end of the session performance. Full Day students (9-3) are in both acts of the show and half day students (9-12) are in the first act only. (Note: There are Friday Day and Evening Performances on the last day of the session.)

NEW AM DROP IN: Are you on vacation and want to come and play with us, but can’t commit to a full session?  Then come to one of our drop in days.  From 9 am - 12  on certain days you can be part of our creativity.  (Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays - not available the weeks of  July 19 - 23 or August 9 - 13)

Fees

$220.00 per week for full day (9-3)

$140.00 per week for half day (9-12)

$40.00 per day drop ins (9-12) Tues, Wed or Thurs

This program must comply with all Edgartown and Mass State Board of Health regulations
